Volkswagen Korea will introduce the 2020 Tiguan 2.0 TDI 4-Motion Prestige, a four-wheel drive model for Tiguan. This completes the Tiguan lineup of a total of three trims – the two front-wheel drive models, the 2.0 TDI premium and the 2.0 TDI Four-Motion Preset.
The 2020 Tiguan 4 Motion Prestige will feature four-motion active control, which applies only to four-wheel drive models, and Volkswagen’s next-generation active info display.
The four-motion active control allows a total of four driving modes to be selected – on-road, off-road, off-road indie and snow driving modes – through buttons located on the central console, and provides an optimal driving experience to respond to various road conditions depending on driving modes.
It is also equipped with next-generation active infographic displays, which boast high-resolution graphics and visibility compared to previous generations, and its intuitive display design allows key driving data to be viewed simultaneously on the screen rather than on separate menus. This applies equally even when the start is stationary, and the driver can conveniently check the information with minimal steering wheel button operation.
In addition, the four-motion Prestige model is equipped with a downhill speed limiter to further enhance driving stability, and the wheel design changes from the previous generation’s gray to bright silver color.
“We added four-wheel drive models to the Tiguan lineup to reflect customers’ needs for a variety of driving environments and lifestyles,” said Stefan Krupp, president of Audi Volkswagen Korea’s Volkswagen division. “In the future, Volkswagen Korea will build a strong SUV lineup with Tiguan, Touarek and later SUVs under its 5T strategy.”
Meanwhile, the sale price of the 2020 Tiguan under the government’s individual consumption tax cut is 41.179,000 won for the premium model and 44.13 million won for the Prestige model, while the newly introduced four-motional 2020 Prestige is 47.57 million won.
